IDAutomation Data Matrix Product Updates
Issue: Second to the last character is dropped in Data Matrix C40 or TEXT modes
This problem only occurs when encoding certain combinations of uppercase and lower case letters in C40 or TEXT modes of some Data Matrix products; the problem does not occur in ASCII or Binary encoding modes. When this error occurs, the second to the last character is dropped from the scanned symbol.This problem was corrected as of August 15th, 2005 in the following products that include the Data Matrix symbology:
Crystal UFL and Native Windows DLL
The products affected are the Code 128 Barcode Fonts that use Code128Auto Functions
and UCC128 Functions in the
Crystal UFL and the
Native Windows Font DLL distributed from June 2005 to September 1, 2005 with
file names and dates as follows:
Under rare conditions, certain barcode data will not return the correct check
digit, therefore creating an incorrect barcode that will not scan. To reproduce
this problem, encode the following data with the Code 128 Auto function:
