When using barcode fonts, readable barcodes require the data to be encoded prior to applying the appropriate font, as the example below shows:
The font tools required to encode the data may be used royalty-free if a license for one of IDAutomation's barcode fonts has been purchased. Barcode components do not use fonts and incorporate the encoding process prior to returning a graphical image of the barcode.
