What is the Memory Footprint and the CPU Usage per Request?

Applies to:

Solution(s):

While IDAutomation barcode products are created to consume as few resources as possible, the amount of CPU power, memory and bandwidth the barcode products will use depends on several factors including: Type of CPU, CPU speed, Operating System, Symbology and amount of data encoded.

If these factors are important in making a decision, it is recommended to install components that measure and monitor these activities as well as testing and emulating real situations that may be experienced. For example, install Microsoft's Performance Monitor and save it to a log file on Windows NT, 2000 or 2003 Server while performing a load test with several users. In the opinion of IDAutomation, the best way to test before production is to do a live load test.
