"Out of Memory Error" Using ActiveX Barcode Control on Office 97.
 

Reported issues are:

• "Out of Memory Error" after adding more than one (1) ActiveX Control barcode to an Excel 97 spreadsheet.
• "Out of Memory Error" when using ActiveX Barcode Control in an Access 97 Report.
• "Out of Memory Error" when creating several barcodes in a short amount of time - this issue is usually solved by updating the control - see "Out of Memory Error" with Linear ActiveX Barcode Control on XP when creating many barcodes.

Neither Excel 97 nor Access 97 handle ActiveX Controls in the same way that later Office products do. The only known solution is an upgrade to Office 2000 or later. Also, make sure the ActiveX Control is the latest version dated December 2002 or later.
