Barcode truncated by Crystal Reports UFL
Many situations can cause the resulting barcode to be truncated in
Crystal Reports when using the
Barcode UFL
as shown below:
Solution(s):
When using IDAutomation's
Crystal Reports
UFL with a linear barcode font, truncation occurs or spaces appear
in the barcode. The Crystal Reports version that had this issue
was v.8.0.0.371. The version that solved this issue was v.8.0.0.441.
Install the latest version of Crystal Reports to solve this issue.
If it appears the font may be truncated, increase the height
and width of the field the font is displayed in so there is extra white
space before and after the font.
PDF417 Barcode truncates when using IDAutomation's
PDF417 Barcode Font
and Encoder with Crystal Reports. Crystal Reports has a limitation
of about 250 characters to be returned by a UFL, Crystal Reports can
only encode information up to about 40 ASCII characters or 30 binary
characters with the ECC level set to 1 and the number of columns set
to 10 and up to about 50 ASCII characters if the truncate option is
chosen.
