The question was asked: "Should IDAutomation Fonts be Loaded on the Client Computer to Export the Crystal Report to a PDF Document when Using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET or Crystal 9?"

When embedding is enabled, It is not necessary to load the fonts on the client computer. By default, the fonts are actually embedded in the PDF file negating the need to distribute the fonts to the individual clients' computers. In order to do this, it will be necessary to use IDAutomation's TrueType fonts.

Note: Fonts cannot be embedded in the PDF file with earlier versions of Crystal Reports (i.e. Version 8.5). Crystal Reports Version 9 or above is required to embed the fonts in the PDF file.
