Removing Checksum Characters from Human-Readable Barcode Fonts
It is not possible to remove or exclude the checksum character from the
human-readable versions of barcode fonts because the checksum is a barcode
character, and so it will always print out when the human-readable text
is printed. If this type of application is required and the check digit
cannot be shown on the human readable text, then it is suggested that the
application be changed to a text font to print the text at the bottom of
the barcode after the barcode is printed.
