Image Generator application will not open

Problem:

When attempting to open the Image Generator application, the application does not appear on the screen, or the application may only reside in the toolbar and cannot be maximized.

Solution(s):

This problem occurs when the registry entries for the software have been corrupted.  It also might occur when a non-programmer lacks the ability to write to the system registry.

 Follow the steps below to delete the registry keys:

  1. Shutdown the Image Generator if it is running
  2. It would be wise to make a backup of the current registry then continue
  3. Click Start
  4. Click Run
  5. Enter Regedit in the box and click ok
  6. A two paned window should appear. On the left side, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
  7. Expand Software
  8. Expand IDAutomation.com
  9. Click on the LinearImageGenerator folder so that it is highlighted
  10. Right Click LinearImageGenerator,
  11. Click Delete
  12. Restart the Image Generator

This should fix the problem.
