If the customer needs IDAutomation's Barcode, MICR or OCR fonts in AFP, Xerox FNT, PCL, Xerox Decentralized or Metacode format:
With a Developer License for IDAutomation fonts and an active year of a
Priority Support
and Upgrade Subscription, IDAutomation can create up to 10 versions of the following
bitmapped fonts:
- AFP fonts
- PCL 4 Laserjet Soft Fonts
- Xerox Metacode Font FNT
- Xerox XES Decentralized Printer font ASCII or EBCDIC
- Xerox DSBU for 3700, 4235 or 4700
- BDF and FON fonts
To create the bitmapped fonts, establish the
following:
- The font name(s) and point size(s) of the TTF or PostScript fonts provided
in the Developer License package. Print samples from a Windows PC using the
TrueType fonts at several point sizes to determine which fonts are
desired.
- Whether the font is to be ASCII or EBCDIC.
- The DPI of the font. Usually this is 300 DPI, however some systems
require 240 DPI.
- For AFP fonts, the following information is needed.
- DPI
- Bounded or unbounded
- AFP Format (must be VM, VSE, MVS or AS/400)
- A codepage file such as T1D0BASE. As a rule, IDAutomation fonts are
all created in the ISO Latin 1 Character set.
If more than 10 different font versions are needed, an additional
Developer License is required for each additional 10 converted fonts.
Developer Licenses may be
purchased here.
If the customer has an active Priority Support
and Upgrade Subscription,
please email
IDAutomation with the order ID number, font names and point sizes.
IDAutomation will then send an email with the converted fonts in a ZIP file. To reactivate
a Priority Support
and Upgrade Subscription, please visit
here.
In addition, if
an organization owns a Developer License to IDAutomation fonts and a software package (such as Elixir) that
allows conversion of fonts into the above formats, the customer may perform the
conversions according to IDAutomation's license agreement.
