How to obtain Barcode, MICR or OCR fonts in AFP, Xerox FNT, PCL, Xerox Decentralized or Metacode format

Solution(s):

IDAutomation font packages include TrueType, OpenType, PostScript and PCL fonts for a variety of applications. If AFP, Xerox FNT, PCL, Xerox Decentralized or Metacode fonts are needed:

  1. Purchase a Developer License for the fonts that need to be converted.
  2. Use a software package (such as Elixir) that converts the fonts into the desired format. With a Developer License, conversions of all IDAutomation fonts are royalty-free according to the License Agreement section 6, Conversions and Embedding.
  3. Open Elixir (or other appropriate font conversion software) and import the appropriate PCL font. To ensure the accuracy of bit mapped fonts, 300dpi PCL fonts should be used instead of TrueType or PostScript fonts.
  4. Make any necessary changes to the font and export it in the desired format.
