How to Install PostScript Font Binary .PFB Files on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.

IDAutomation recommends installing TrueType fonts if possible; only install the PostScript fonts if necessary.
Do not install TrueType and PostScript fonts of the same name on the same system.

Solution(s):

Installing PostScript Font Files on Windows:

  1. Open the Control Panel and choose the Fonts icon.
  2. In the main tool bar, select Install New Font.
  3. Browse to the font files.
  4. When the fonts appear; select the appropriate (Type 1) font to install and click OK.
  5. The font should immediately be active and available for use in applications. Some applications may require a restart of the system to be active.
