Reading a barcode from an LCD monitor using the IDAutomation Barcode Scanner
The IDAutomation Plug
'n Play Barcode Scanner has the capability to read a barcode from an
LCD monitor provided the barcode is created at 96 DPI or above.
- Implement
one of the following components to create the barcode:
IDAutomation's online Java servlet demo
can be used to create a test barcode.
- Make sure the
IDAutomation SC5USB Barcode Scanner is plugged in and powered up.
- Bring up a text editor window, like Notepad, and place it on top of the
window with the barcode.

- When the barcode is scanned the barcode data should appear in the Notepad
window like in the above example. This example was provided by using the
IDAutomation Plug
'n Play Barcode Scanner.
