How to install TrueType fonts in Windows

TrueType Font (.ttf) is commonly used in Windows and OS/2 operating systems. The TrueType font may be used in other operating systems if information is provided by the OS vendor relating to the standard Windows TrueType fonts.

Solution(s):

To install the TrueType font in Windows:

  1. Click on Start, Select, Settings and click on Control Panel.
  2. Click on Fonts, click on File in the main tool bar, select Install New Font.
  3. Select the folder where the font is located.
  4. The fonts will appear; select the desired font that is titled TrueType and click on OK.
  5. Click Start and choose restart the computer.
  6. The font should be active after a computer restart.
