The IDAutomation .NET Font Encoder Assembly & DLL is a Font Tool that is used to format text for IDAutomation Barcode Fonts in the Microsoft .NET Framework. This product supports standard bar code fonts as well as the Universal Font. This product is royalty free with the purchase of a license to one of the IDAutomation Barcode Fonts.

On July 14th, we sent a mass mailing for customers that purchased the following products between March 1, 2006 through July 12th:

• .NET Barcode Linear Forms Control (IDA40)
• .NET Linear + 2D Forms Control (IDA62)
• Linear Image Generator (IDA64)
• Linear + 2D Image Generator (IDA65)

The email informed customers of an issue that we solved and provided a free download of the newly released version of the software package. The issue was that under certain circumstances when using Code 128 with the Auto character set selected, a number value that appears after a text string may increment by 1. For example, the data of “TEST12345” encoded in a barcode would scan as “TEST22345”.

If you did not receive this email, please submit your information, including order ID#, in a help desk ticket, so that we may send you the new version. Orders prior to March 1, 2006 did not have this issue and will not be eligible for the update. The help desk can be accessed from http://www.idautomationhelpdesk.com/step_one.asp.

IDAutomation Barcode Label Software is an advanced, easy to use, WYSIWYG bar code label printing software application that prints barcodes, text and graphics on standard laser or inkjet printers, in addition to labels on thermal transfer bar-code printers. Version 2006 R2 includes the following
enhancements:

• Enhanced database functionality and improvements.
• Improved compatibility with .NET Framework 2.0.
• A fix for Code 128. Under certain circumstances when using Code 128 with the Auto character set selected, a number value that appears after a text string may increment by 1. We have just added the Metrologic SP5500 OptimusS Portable Batch Data Terminal Kit to our scanner selection. This scanner enables users to quickly scan and store their product information. Then after data collection is done, simply place the unit into the cradle and send the data back to the host to keep information up-to-date and accurate.

Each OptimusS comes with the Optimizer software package to facilitate application development. The rechargeable lithium battery has a long battery life, allowing approximately 100 hours of scanning before needing to be recharged.
