We have recently updated our UPC/EAN Font Advantage Package with the following improvements:

• UPC-E function will allow automatic switching to number system 1.
• Added support for encoding UPCE number of 6, 7 or 8 digits.
• Improved accuracy in the printed image with precise pixel mapping font technology.
• Enhanced printing quality to low resolution printers.
• Updated VBA code and Crystal DLL included.
• Includes non-human-readable fonts.
• Additional symbols used to identify quiet zones.
• Improved compatibility with Windows Vista.

We have recently updated the linear version of our Java Barcode Packages with the following improvements:

• Enhancements to the POSTNET, Planet, Code 128, UCC128, Code 39, and Interleaved 2 of 5 symbologies.
• More efficient and consistent rotation algorithms.
• New Features include:
  • New USPS OneCode symbology added.
  • Character grouping - which allows the human readable text to be grouped together in 3, 4, or 5 character groups for easier readability.
  • Bearer Bars - Horizontal and vertical bearer bar options are now available. Thickness of the bars is configurable from 0 (default) to 10 times the XDimension.
  • Text Margin - The space between the human readable text and the barcode.
  • White Bar Increase - Increases the XDimension of the white bars only. This will aid in ensuring readability of barcodes printed with lower resolution printers.

Recently many of our customers received a Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription notification. Because of a glitch in our automated reminder, many of these notices were overdue. Due to the error being our fault, there will be no late fee assessed for those customers who would like up update their support.

There is not an annual license fee; the license does not expire. However, the Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription is a yearly cost option that is not required unless you require additional technical support or would like access to any software upgrades to the product. The cost of the maintenance fee is 18% of the original cost of the license.
