IDAutomation.com has released a new version of their ActiveX controls to address a possible vulnerability caused by the use of insecure libraries inherit to ActiveX technologies. Under very specific conditions, the vulnerability could allow a DOS attack to take place on the effected system. The latest release of all the ActiveX products implement secure libraries which eliminate the possibility of such attacks. This update includes both versions of the Barcode ActiveX Control products:
This vulnerability also applies to the Windows DLLs and ActiveX Controls included in the PDF417 and DataMatrix Font and Encoder packages.

To login, you will need to enter your user name (your email address) and the password created at the time of order. When you log in, you should see your order and in the upper right hand corner, you will see a "My Downloads” icon link. This will be the location to download the update.
