RSS & Composite Barcodes for Sunrise 2005 and GTIN Compliance
(Tampa, FL.) IDAutomation.com announces the integration of RSS (Reduced Space
Symbology) & Composite symbology into their Image Generator and Barcode Control.
The RSS & Composite barcodes include several new barcode types recommended by
the UCC and EAN to encode the GTIN product ID and are Sunrise 2005 compliant.
This symbology is designed to encode additional product information, such as
expiration dates and other item attribute data. RSS barcodes have been identified
to solve problems in the grocery, retail, pharmacy, and medical/surgical products
where items are too small to allow for older barcode symbologies.
The RSS generator supports RSS14, RSS-14 Stacked, RSS-14
Truncated, RSS-14 Stacked Omni-directional, RSS Expanded, RSS Limited, Composite,
PDF417, MicroPDF417, UPC/EAN and Code 128 symbologies. RSS and Composite Symbology
are the latest barcode types for space-constrained identification from EAN International
and the Uniform Code Council, Inc. and will allow users to meet the GTIN and
Sunrise 2005 standards. The Image Generator is used to develop high quality
graphic barcode image files for import into other applications such as PhotoShop,
Paint Shop Pro, Quark or CorelDraw for printing purposes. The Forms Control
is used to integrate dynamic barcodes into Microsoft® .NET Framework Applications.
Some of the primary features of this product are that it can easily create barcode
image files as JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP and WMF formats, the copy to clipboard capability
allows for easy pasting of barcode images into applications and the precise,
high-quality, graphics files can be generated according to the selected DPI
of the file.
A fully functional evaluation copy of the Image Generator may be downloaded
from their website at
http://www.idautomation.com/generator/download.html. A single user license
costs $99 USD. A fully functional evaluation copy of the Forms Control may be
downloaded from their website at

A developer license is $790 USD. IDAutomation.com, Inc. also provides
