Keyscan Systems offers security card access systems for a changing world. Their access control products provide total-control access to certain areas by access privilege and time-of-day restrictions, as well as place a hold on employee access privileges until a supervisor or manager as arrived on site. Keyscan access card readers and keypads use proven technologies, and are constructed from durable materials for reliable and consistent performance that you can depend on. Keyscan readers are HID (125 kHz) compatible.

How the KeyScan Access Control System works:

1. Access card enters reader excite field.
2. Access card transmits an encrypted ‘Max Secure Code’ to the K-SMART card reader.
3. The K-SMART card reader decrypts the ‘Max Secure Code’ and authenticates the provided code.
4. The access card reader then completes a 3 pass authentication encryption/ decryption unlock algorithm with the card.
5. The K-SECURE credential then transmits its secured access control identification.
6. The K-SMART card reader passes the cards access control identification to the controller using Keyscan’s proprietary 36bit Wiegand protocol.

The HID-1326 is the most affordable access card from HID, and the long-standing industry choice for proximity access control sytems. The ProxCard II access card is approximately the size of a standard credit card, and thin and flexible enough to be carried in a wallet or on a strap clip.
