The Datacard Tru Fingerprint Reader solution combines the intuitive Datacard Tru Fingerprint Reader Software and an advanced biometric fingerprint reader. Depending on the edition of Datacard identification software, the solution can enable biometric enrollment and verification and/or capture and store photographic fingerprint images.

Powerful Enrollment and Fingerprint Verification.

When used with Datacard ID Works Enterprise Identification Software, the Tru Fingerprint Reader solution allows the ability to scan a fingerprint, create a mathematical representation of it and store this digital template in a biometric database. This makes it easy to perform one-to-one fingerprint matching required for sophisticated biometric identity verification.

Convenient Capture and Storage.

When used with Datacard ID Works Basic, Standard or Enterprise Identification Software, or with Datacard ViaNet Identity Information Software, the Tru Fingerprint Reader solution can capture a photographic image of a cardholder's fingerprint and then print it on a secure photo ID card. Adding this photographic image to a card can help deter identity theft.

Easy Setup and Operation.

The Tru Fingerprint Reader solution is easy to install and very simple to use. After successfully installing the ID Works or ViaNet software, simply install the Tru Fingerprint Reader software, connect the Biometric Fingerprint Reader and start scanning fingerprints.

Standard Features:

Use biometric identity verification to help deter identity theft. The Datacard Tru Biometric Fingerprint Reader solution lets users collect fingerprint templates and then verify those templates against a live person. Simply scan the fingerprint and the Tru Fingerprint Reader software will create and save the mathematical representation of the fingerprint. The Tru Fingerprint Reader solution also has the ability to capture, store and print a fingerprint image on a card. Although this fingerprint image does not allow for any verification, it does serve as a perceived security feature as it may deter from identity theft.
