IDTech’s VersaKey keyboard features the full-size standard Microsoft
Keyboard layout with LED indicators and an integrated MagStripe reader,
thereby maximizing POS productivity. Magnetic stripe readers
read drivers licenses, gift cards,
credit cards and other types of magstripe cards. VersaKey’s 3-track magstripe
reader output can be transformed to fit the specific application with the
included
configuration software, such as the format of the output or the selection
of specific tracks on ISO 7811 compliant
cards.
VersaKey either comes in USB or PS/2 depending on the connection needed.
For added convenience, the USB version also comes with an extra two-port
USB hub.
Whether
it’s the PS/2 or the USB version, the communication is shared between the
keyboard and the MagStripe reader meaning a reduction of cabling for the
user. The VersaKey keyboard is proven to endure more than 10 million key
operations and 1 million swipes. Standard warranty of 3 years provides confidence
that the unit is built to last.
A compact version of the popular VersaKey POS keyboard has just been introduced and is ideal for applications where space is an issue. It features a 3 year warranty, 3 track magnetic stripe reader and USB interface.
