Manual Installation

The manual installation of the IDAutomation Barcode Webservice is for those users who are proficient and have a good understanding of the IIS Webserver. In order to successfully install the Webservice manually, the following steps must occur:

•	A new virtual directory must be created within the IIS webroot to host the new Webservice.

•	A directory structure must be created within this newly created virtual directory.

•	The .aspx and dll files must be manually copied to the appropriate physical directories under the new virtual directory.

Because of the nature of security within IIS, the user installing the Webservice will need to have appropriate access rights to the IIS system. Please contact your network administrator for more information.
