The Microsoft Installer program included with the IDAutomation Barcode Webservice is designed to configured the webservice in the most quick and efficient manner. The MSI performs the following steps:
| • | Creates a new Virtual Directory in your webroot directory. |
| • | Creates the necessary folder structure and copies the appropriate files to this new Virtual Directory. |
| • | Optionally installs the two consumable applications for testing purposes. |
Because of the nature of security within IIS, the user installing the Webservice will need to have appropriate access rights to the IIS system. Please contact your network administrator for more information.
To install using this method, locate and run the InstallLinearWebservice.msi found in your original, downloaded .zip file. Once run, the WebService will be ready for use.
