The IDAutomation Barcode WebService accepts a number of inputs and uses our proprietary functions to create and return the barcode image. The image is streamed back to the client (or consumable) in XML format. It is up to the consumable program to then rebuild this byte stream into a more user friendly output.

For ease of use, the IDAutomation Barcode Webservice has several public functions to facilitate coding. Each of these functions is documented in detail at http://www.idautomation.com/webservice/api.
