IDAutomation.com Granted Patent for Generating Barcodes without Barcode
Fonts or Graphic Objects.
(Tampa, FL.) IDAutomation.com, Inc. has been granted a patent for a method
used to generate a printable barcode object, which encodes data from within
a particular software application. This method may be used to create several
linear and 2D barcode types including Code-128, GS1-128, Code-39, Postnet, QR-Code,
Data Matrix and PDF417.
Traditionally, specialized barcode fonts or graphic generation objects need
to be installed before barcodes can be printed from a standard software application.
The new patented method generates barcodes from standard Unicode system fonts,
eliminating the need to install additional barcode fonts. Since Unicode is a
standard, the same method may be used on a variety of operating systems, including
Windows, MAC, Unix and Linux.
While the
Patent US 7,637,436 B1 has been recently granted, IDAutomation has been
utilizing this technology since 2006 with patent-pending status within several
barcode generation products, which include:
Each of the above IDAutomation barcode generation products will allow you
to utilize this newly patented system of generating barcodes within specific
applications without installing individual fonts or other components, thereby
increasing efficiency and productivity in your workplace.
IDAutomation provides barcode fonts, components and software applications
that support several barcode types. IDAutomation.com, Inc. has been marketing
products for businesses since 1996 and is privately held. For more information,
